Some LONG DISTANCE CYCLISTS & WALKERS who have stayed the night.
Mark Johnston, from the Bedford area, setting off on 2nd leg of Lands End to John O'Groats trip. His wife and daughter, Susan and Fiona, are travelling along by car, taking in the various sights (they're doing the Eden Project today) and all meeting up at the next B&B. Mark's bicycle is an "Ernesto Colnago" made from carbon fibre - very light, very technically innovative and very many numbers in the price tag!
Kumaran Navaratnarajah ( aka Nav ) and Gerald Knights setting off on 2nd leg of Lands End to John O'Groats trip. They came via The Lizard yesterday so that's the most Southerly point achieved also! They're riding for charity and if you click on their photo it'll take you to a website with all the details. There was also meant to be another rider, Ray Pang, who unfortunately was unable to start with the 2 boys but hopes to catch them up! 4th July - Ray started from Lands End today and did 94 miles to meet up with Nav and Gerald at their second nights stop at Launceston - well done!
Paul Duggan and Daniel Hancock, from the Bath area, setting off on 2nd leg of Lands End to John O'Groats trip. They came via The Lizard yesterday so that's the most Southerly point out of the way also! They're riding for charity and if you click on their photo it'll take you to a website with all the details.
Paula Bourke and Robin Cox setting out on 2nd leg of their journey. Paula is doing the full Lands End to John O'Groats trip but Rob is leaving her at Tiverton. Rob has a fascinating hobby involved with an obscure classic British car - click on their photo to go to the website.
David Gunn, setting out in the Mizzle (Cornish mist & drizzle), on the 6th day of his weeks trip.
He's basically cycling from Appledore to Plymouth via the Cornish coast.
Andy and John Wilson (father and son) setting off on Lands End to John O'Groats trip.
James Fryer setting out to Penzance on his charity walk from John O'Groats to Lands End - 1 more day to go.
Colin Whitby, aged 73, from Cheltenham, setting out to Lands End during his 'Home - Lands End - John O'Groats - Lands End - Home' ride. He's collecting for the " Army Benevolent Fund " He started on 20th April and hopes to be back by 23rd May.
Keith Shuttlewood (Horsham Cycling Club) setting out on 5th day of round Britain trip.
Jacob and Hanne Stougaard, from Denmark, setting out on 6th day of Lands End to John O'Groats walk (only 114 days to go !)
We had a postcard from Jacob and Hanne sent from John O'Groats on 2nd September '08 which was 9 days ahead of their schedule - Well done!
Guido Vandroemme, from Belgium, setting out on 3rd day of sightseeing in Cornwall.
Mat Richardson, setting off on 3rd leg of Lands End to John O'Groats - why the 3rd not 2nd? As well as "End to End" he's greedily
incorporating Lizard to Dunnet head, "South to North". (Click photo to go to his amusing story of the trip !)
Nick Mundy setting off on 2nd leg of Lands End to North Foreland Point near Margate (Click photo to go to his amusing story of the trip !)
Felicity Peyman with Vic Peyman setting off on their 2nd leg of Lands End to John O'Groats.
Chris Tattersall and Jack Brough - Both setting off on last leg of Charity John O'Groats to Lands End rides.
