6 William AGER 1732?-1805?

m Jane ALLESTON 1758

William married Jane ALLESTON from Gt Wratting, Suffolk, in 1758 and they baptised their children in the parish of Birdbrook.  William may have been born in nearby Steeple Bumpstead in 1732 but this is not certain.  Jane was buried in Birdbrook in 1782, but the burial record of William has not been found

BIRTH

William was m in 1758 and baptised his children at Birdbrook.  There is no suitable baptism at Birdbrook, and the only suitable baptism found nearby is at Steeple Bumstead, where there are many AGER records

C 13Jun1732 William s Goodman AGER

Goodman also baptised Elizabeth 10Oct1727 and an unnamed child 7Jun1735, but there are no other Goodman AGER records

C 10Oct1727 Elizabeth d Goodman AGER

C 13Jun1732 William s Goodman AGER

C  7Jun1735 child of Goodman AGER

[is Goodman a form of, or error for, George?  George & Elizabeth baptised children 1729-1739:

C 23Sep1729 child of George AGER

C  3Oct1736 Elizabeth d George AGER

C 16Jny1737 Mary d George AGER

C 30Mar1739 Ann d George & Elizabeth AGER

but this seems unlikely as there is no Elizabeth burial between the baptism if Elizabeth to Goodman in 1727 and the baptism of Elizabeth to George in 1736]

MARRIAGE

William-5 was baptised at Birdbrook in 1764, son of William & Jane; banns of a marriage between William AGER and Jane ALLESTON were recorded there in 1758 and the next record of these parents is the burial of their son in 1759:

banns 23Jul1758 William AGER single otp & Jane ALLESTON of Gt Wratting SFK; also 30Jul & 6Aug

hopefully the marriage was recorded at Great Wratting, but the registers there have not been searched
