Thomas lived in the Essex village of Langley all his (known) life. He was born there in 1780, married Kitty TOFTS there in 1797 when he was only 17 and baptised his four children there between 1801 and 1812.

At present it is not known when or where he died.

Thomas GRAVES was married at Langley in 1797, so would have been born before 1780. There is one suitable baptism in Langley:

There is no confirming evidence that this is the correct baptism and gives a rather young marriage age of 17; moreover Thomas did not name any of his known children George or Jane. However George was himself the son of Thomas and it will be assumed that this is the correct baptism pending further evidence. No suitable baptism was found in nearby parishes including Furneax Pelham, Stocking Pelham, Meesden, Newport
