The earliest
record of the family is in the parish of Chobham where Henry HALE 9 lived and
died. Two of
his sons moved to nearby Worplesdon where the family remained for at least
three more generations. The elder son
was described as a yeoman of Worplesdon in his will of 1694, but the status
of the other son, John-8 is not known. John’s
son, George, was an agricultural labourer and lived at Perry Hill in the
centre of Worplesdon. His daughter
Elizabeth married another labourer and remained at Perry Hill until she died. |
