Thomas JOHNSON was born in the Hertfordshire parish of Furneux Pelham in 1719 and as far as is known remained there all his life

 

He married Grace and baptised 11 children there between 1743 and 1763.  Grace died in 1801 and Thomas possibly outlived her by 8 years, buried at Furneaux Pelham aged 90

Thomas JOHNSON baptised children at Furneux Pelham from 1743 to 1763, so was probably married aaround 1742 and maybe born around 1720.  The only possible burial entry in the parish register is in 1809 but may not refer to this Thomas, and no age was stated.  There are two possible baptisms in Furneux Pelham:

the son of Thomas however was buried while still a child:

MARRIAGE

 

Mary JOHNSON-7 was baptised at Furneux Pelham in 1744 daughter of Thomas & Grace.  A series of baptisms to these parents in this parish begins in 1743 with two on the same day.  However no suitable marriage of Thomas Johnson to Grace was recorded in the parish and has not yet been found elsewhere.

the 1809 burial of Thomas gives an unlikely age of 90 at death and there were other Thomas JOHNSONs in the parish to which the burial may more likely refer; there are no other more suitable burials hoever and Grace was not noted as a widow at her burial, unlike other entries.
