McNAB is
an ancient clan centred on Killin at the Western end of Loch Tay, but the earliest
known ancestor is Thomas McNAB probably born about 1720 who lived at
Killiechasie near Weem at the eastern end of the Loch. Thomas married Christian McINTOSH and had
three children. One of
them, David McNAB, also married a Christian McINTOSH and had two children
while at Killichasie before moving to nearby Dull parish where four more
children were born. Their
eldest daughter, Grizel McNAB, married Peter CAMPBELL, a mason, at Dull in
1803 but they then moved to Perth where she remained until her death in 1858
outliving her husband by 20 years. |
