Elizabeth was born in Terling in 1720, and married a blacksmith, Richard DUDLEY, there in 1748. Three children were born in Terling before Richard died in 1765. Elizabeth outlived him by 25 years. In 1775 she was living with her sister's husband, Thomas CURTIS, but in 1778 she was on her own in Mill St, in the centre of the village. She was buried at terling in 1790 aged 70 |

Elizabeth’s
marriage licence gives her
age as 28 in 1748.
They were to marry at Boreham but lived at Terling. There is no OSBOURN at Boreham, but there is a suitable baptism
in Terling itself which fits all requirements:

marriage record has not been found, but it seems that it took place, since
Richard and Elizabeth baptised three children at Terling after 1748 and before
Richard's burial in 1765
