[1] Mary was a widow of Wheatley when she was buried in 1751

[2] No evidence that Joseph of Sandford on Thames was the son of Abraham of Forest Hill, but the dates fit and the parishes are only 5 miles apart

curiously, a marriage licence was issued 14Nov1739 for the marriage of Abraham PENDRY to mary TUBB at St Mary Magdalen

[3] Ann PENDRY married William REEVES at Forest Hill 1Sep1765; Jose[h PENDREY was a witness; it seems probable that Ann was a daughter of Joseph

born around 1740, ie between Joseph & Elizabeth, but her baptism was not found at Forest Hill

Do they refer to the same Bartholomew? It seems strange that a man would marry and raise a family in Black Bourton but return to his roots to be buried. B.Bourton is some 16 miles from Forest Hill on the other side of Oxford. However the name is so unusual, the dates fit so well (Bartolomews age at marriage fits with his baptism at Forest Hill), there is a suitable burial also for his wife Jane at Forest Hill, and the names used at Black Bourton (Isaac/Joseph) are Forest Hill family names. The evidence seems compelling that Bartholomew and Jane did in fact return to the Forest Hill area (Stanton St John) later in life.
