[1] evidence that William
SKINGSLY is the father of Matthew and Henry by his first marriage is
circumstantial; a William SKINGSLY witnessed the m of both Matthew and Henry;
Matthew's first son was named William; William was a widower when he married Elizabeth
DAY in 1774 and the m was witnessed by Jane SKINGSLY, almost certainly the wife
of Matthew. The William buried in 1800
may well be William senior, but could be his grandson C1771 or his gr.grandson
