[1] No evidence that Richard re-married Mary. However his first wife died less than 5 years before, and there
is no duplication of names between Ric. & Eliz.'s children and the 5
baptised by Ric. & Mary. If they
are all Ric.'s children he baptised them between ages 25 to 60, and died at
67. There is a burial of Mary in 1762
the year before Richard died, which may be his second ife. An alternative possibility is that Mary was
the first wife of Richard junior (see T6a).
There is just a two year gap etween these two sets of baptisms. However Ric jun was not noted as a widower
when he married Elizabeth CHITTY and there is no suitable burial of a Mary
before the marriage. There is also
duplication of the name George, without a suitable burial.
