BIRTH

Thomas was married in 1648 and died in 1683. A birth date of around 1620 is therefore probable. The Forest Hill registers commence in 1564 but the first SOANES entry is Thomas' marriage to Anne ROBERTS in 1648. A Henry SOANES appears shortly after, married first to Martha and then to Katharine. Henry and Thomas therefore appear to be new to the parish and their baptisms should be sought elsewhere. They have not been found in the IGI.

John-9 was baptised at Forest Hill, son of Thomas in 1663. A series of baptisms to Thomas is preceded by the following marriage at Forest Hill:
