BatBloke gets drunk and abusive
Continuing his downward spiral into general hatred, according to reports
issued today, BatBloke was seen last night drunk and yelling insults at
most everyone who walked by. Including me. AND YOU! (and me)
Once the doyen of high class society, BatBloke was born half man, half bat,
and shot to fame in the late 60's with his original sidekick 'boy apathy'.
This archive image shows the now infamous scene at the unveiling of their
first, and only, movie :
Unfortunately, the movie was withdrawn when it turned out that not only did BatBloke
and Boy Apathy not actually appear in the film, that the character
names had been changed to "Paul, John, George and Ringo", and the expected
crime fighting plot replaced with something about popular music.
This led to infighting amongst the stars, and in the end BatBloke quit to
find new people to work with. Boy Apathy wasn't really that bothered.
Contrary to popular belief, this move did not result in the creation of
either "The Frog Chorus" or "Wings".
At this point BatBloke disappeared for a few years. Stories flew around
about him being killed while trying to lead a communist revolt in southern
america, or else having received an axe to the head in southern america,
for loosing a communist political leadership battle. A third story
featured him doing the voice over for Thomas the Tank Engine.
At the time, Boy Apathy went on record as having said :
"Imagine there's no heaven - its easy if you try" - Boy Apathy
And, later :
"God I hope no-one in Hollywood ever tried to use computers to put me in
an oscar winning movie about the life of some idiot" - Boy Apathy
However, having never said anything about dinosaur movies, this reporter
considers Boy Apathy's appearance in Jurassic Park 3 a certainty. In fact,
I bet my house on it. And my wife!
Anyway, the years passed and eventually BatBloke resurfaced with a new
sidekick, Dobin (previously a mule). Marie from Kenickie had this to say:
"Time goes slow in the dark - We're getting drunk in the park - We've got our gang and - I know we'll always be friends" - Marie (from Kenicie)
But that isn't strictly related. Nor was this :
"Take what you can - Eat off the man - Wear high heels - and get a record deal" - Marie (from Kenickie)
Although Gary Glitter reputedly found it to be very good advice.
Unfortunately, after the failure of a BatBloke and Dobin cartoon picture
series after only 6 episodes, this relationship too turned bad. Which brings
us more or less to the present day. Except for this bit : BatBloke drank
too much. And yelled abuse. And that is all that can be found to say about
that. Meanwhile, Boy Apathy is considering abandoning his plan to 'grow his
hair for peace' and changing to the more modern UN backed 'bomb the invaded
country which is quite close to Russia for peace'.
