However, in time honoured fashion, the next morning both parties realised that such petty arguments get no-one anywhere, hence :
| Bill | Listen, I'm really sorry about last night, and . . . |
| Flurby Jim | Don't mention it |
(pause)
| Flurby Jim | Hey, what were we just talking about? |
Analysts predict that the bad feelings prompted by these events may eventually lead to civil war in China. However, other analysts have been quick to remind us that less than 1% of things analysts say are anything like accurate. Further, it is predicted that a third set of analysts are preparing a revised estimate based on new statistics. I have a headache.
"No, I'm completely sure my wife still loves me. Its just that she shows her love in a strange way - specifically by feeling towards me the emotion of hate" - Smitheson-Jameson
"Yeah, yeah, the secret police came for me once. But these aren't the secret police people know about, these were so secret they had to pretend they weren't police and that they were just old friends of mine which I hadn't seen in a really long time and who really cared about my opinions, and in particular about making them agree with the state defined ones. They even had me going for a bit until I recognised one of them as the man who pulled off a military coup in 1982" - Jono Cheesewright
"so we drown, sir we drown, stop taking me over" - Brett Anderson
It is heavily rumoured at this time that BatBloke's recently formed country[1] may soon be invaded by members of DR Congo. Or possibly MS[2] Nigeria. However it is highly unlikely[3] that this is relevant or interesting news that is heading in the direction of anything much. What would Fred Dineage say?[4]
More relevantly, in a survey published today 70% of those asked said they'd never read 'Flurby Jim News'. As did the other 30%, although only 2% stated a strong dislike for the arbitrary partitioning of statistics, with 10% showing a mild dislike, 30% not too bothered, 1% on mild like, 8% sticking to a strong like, and the remaining 49% preferring instead to kick me in the face and run off with my money and the rest of my survey forms. But that 49% was well minging anyway!
Also, be aware that a general strike has been called for next Friday. I don't have the backing of any trade unions or anything yet, but I'd really like to see something on TV.
[1] BatBloke's country is otherwise known as Wales, and any
ownership claims on his part are officially disputed
[2] The use of MS here is entirely accidental
[3] unlikely, adjective, meaning ambiguous or indefinite
[4] Fred Dineage is almost certain to have nothing to say if my
'uncle' Benito gets to him before you do
