Take the Hard Work Out of Arranging Holidays

Christmas 2005 !!

My family have been exploring the wealth of "activities" that are on offer during school holidays in London and Essex. We have put together our own "holiday programmes" making use of the wide range of cultural and outdoor resources that are available more-or-less on our doorstep.

In answer to many requests, I have included on this site information on many of the offerings available.

Whilst this is not an exhaustive guide to "activities, workshops & performances", I have attempted to include events which can provide the focus to a day out.  Please take notice of the age guides - experience suggests that children who are too young for an activity do not benefit from the experience and can spoil that of other participants.  At most events parents are expected to remain with children and participate.

I have tried to give up-to-date information, but cannot guarantee accuracy.  Please check with the venues before embarking on a special trip, and use the contact information to satisfy yourself that the activity is suitable for your child.

I would welcome feedback on the usefulness and accuracy of the information provided (it is only as good as that supplied by the venues themselves) and of the quality of any activities you participate in.  Please contact the venues directly for further information and bookings.
