STILLS AND SEA AIR

There is nothing like Talisker. It is one of the most individual of single malts, a unique example of the Island style.

The influence of the sea is unmistakable, imparting a seaweedy pungency which mingle easily with the more recogisable malt characteristics - the aromas of wood and smoke, the velvety smoothness, and the well balanced, satisfying weight.

The 45.8% alcohol by volume strength, the peppery, long, huge finish, which explodes on the palate, inspired one taste to dub Talisker 'the lava of the Cullins'. Robert Louis Stevenson was being just as dramatic when he penned a poem in which he dubbed Talisker the ' King o' Drinks'.

This celebrated whisky is an invigorating dram for any time of the day. It has, quite fittingly, recently been selected as one of the six Classic Malts of Scotland.
