This view is the first you get of the CARBOST village. A small, village and famous for the Talisker Whisky distillery. There is a small pub near the distillery and another pub at Portalong. We really recommend a visit to all of them. Close to the distillery is the home of Isle of Skye Oysters give them a visit and taste really fresh Oysters.

Talisker Distillery

Beyond Carbost Village close to the shore is a gentle haven sheltered from the bleak ravines which sweep down to the coast. Here in the shadow of the distant Cuillin Hills lies the islands only distillery Talisker. The Golden Spirits of Skye has more than a hint of local seaweed peppered with a sour & sweet notes and a memorable warm peaty finish.
