Talisker Distillery
Situated in Carbost, is an ideal visit giving a chance to see whisky being made, and to taste Talisker Malt Whiskey.
Located to the north of the island at Uig. The Brewery as only being established a few years But as numerous awards for their beers. Tours of the brewery are daily in the summer and can be arranged other times. Well worth a visit for the keen beer drinker.
The home of the McLeod clan situated on the north west arm of Skye on the edge of Dunvegan gardens and castle are open most of the year.
The rival clan of the McLeod's owning land upto Portree. The center is in the south of the island near Armadale
A visitor center on the edge of Portree, with forest walks, cinema, gift shop, tearoom/restaurant and the exhibition.
On the Straun Road Portree, various exhibitions throughout the year, tearoom with ample parking
Situated in Broadford this is a reptile exhibition and breeding centre.
On the Glendale tourist route to the west of Dunvegan. A popular little museum enjoyed by young and old alike. Some of the exhibits can be handled and played with. Hand-made toys also on sale.
World of Wood
The story of a tree from seed to various articles created from wood is shown in a number of displays. Hands-on displays of general woodworking tools. There is also a variety of wood craft items on sale. Situated in Broadford on the main Kyleakin to Portree road.
