All of my dogs live in my house as my pets first and foremost. They are allowed to run free most of the time, either in the house or in the garden. They take it turns as to who sleeps in our bed at night!

Puppies are born in my lounge where they stay for the first 4-5 weeks of their lives. They are handled frequently from day one. From 4-5 weeks they are moved to a large 6ft by 3ft pen in my large kitchen.

At 6 weeks, they are allowed to run and play in the lounge under constant supervision. Not only is this heaps of fun but gives me the opportunity to train them to use newspaper when they need to toilet.
The mothers’ of my pups are NEVER forcibly separated from their pups. They decide for themselves when they don’t want to be with them. They also decide when the pups need
weaning, which since being on the raw diet, is usually between 5 and 6 weeks of age. My mothers’ tend to allow their pups to suckle until the pups are about 10 weeks old.

The older dogs are pretty much free to do as they wish. I use cages for them to sleep in at night and for any time they need to be kept safe. I am at home most of the time, so the dogs are free most of the time.
From 6 mths of age each dog joins me on daily walks-morning and evening, rain or snow permitting!
The walk, both morning and evening, takes about 40 minutes. They enjoy this very much. It keeps them well socialized. It also keeps them fit and very well muscled. In good weather, they are also free to enjoy our long garden.
