The Parish Room was formerly the Taynton village school that closed in 1932. It has since then been used by the parish as a meeting place. In recent years it has been refurbished and now has a modern kitchen, efficient heating, indoor toilets and it is carpeted. It is available for hire for functions and is equipped with china and cutlery for up to 50 persons.
It has been used for children’s parties, village luncheons, whist drives, meetings etc.
It has also been used by pop groups for band/music practice due to its ideal location with no neighbours to disturb!
