Gloucester Cattle at Byfords Farm
This herd of over 50 cattle is the largest herd of Old Gloucesters in existence. The breed was saved from extinction by a few dedicated farmers in the early 1970’s. There is also a smaller herd in this village at Hill Farm. It was from this breed that the original Double Gloucester Cheese was made.
