April 1st:
11am
Good Friday, Jackie Farry arrived for another visit along with
Frances’ who Kurt played with for an hour before they
left. Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers was also receiving treatment
at Exodus and the two chatted for periods throughout the day. Friday
afternoon offered a visit by Pat Smear and Joe “Mama” Nitzburg,
they left around 5pm.
Phone records of the
Peninsula Hotel show that thirteen calls where made to the
patient’s pay phone at Exodus over the
last two days. Courtney told Grant she only talked to Kurt once
that day. Kurt voluntarily
left the rehab clinic at around 7pm, and booked a first class
seat back to Seattle on Delta Flight 788 for that
night, he paid the fare of $478
by credit card ,
the same credit card Courtney subsequently cancelled. Tom
Grant's explanation
Interestingly Hank Harrison claims the charge was for two regular
class tickets...
Note: "While still in Los Angeles, Kurt had purchased
another airline ticket out of Seattle" - Tom
Grant - "Evidence
will show Kurt was planning to leave Courtney and Seattle shortly
after he returned from the rehab in Los Angeles." -

Update 5thApr/04: Grant has now revealed
in an interview with CNN's Paula Zahn that an hour before leaving
rehab Kurt had indeed purchased two tickets out of Seattle
for himself and a mystery lady. Courtney's response was to
will Grant into hiring a hacker to hack into United Airlines
database to trace who this woman actually was...
At
8:47pm, Kurt called the Peninsula Hotel and left
a message for Courtney.
The message
on the hotel log reads “Elizabeth’s
phone number is 213-###-###-”. Grant knows
the identity of this woman; Elizabeth Peyton, and
her significance
is
apparently crucial, what was Kurt doing during
the time he left rehab
and caught his flight? Inevitable Courtney never
mentioned this message
she received to the media.
