All photos were shot in Yorkshire, UK. Battling rain with an overexposed shutter, waiting for tumbling clouds to part for precious moments of sunshine, and revelling in glorious sunshine, we managed decent photos.
The Mute Swan, floating on North Sea salt water in Whitby Harbor, teased and eluded me until finally relenting to an elegant pose.
A Macaw Parrot, flying free at Harewood House, ignored me completely.
Mallard Geese, feeding at Cusworth Hall near our home, helped frame the bridge photo.
Snowy Owls, enclosed at Harewood House's endangered-species aviary, proved difficult to focus through the wire mesh.
