In 1997, at 79 years old, George's wife, Thelma, encouraged him to set up a studio in their extra bedroom.
Today, one wall is plastered with colorful paintings. Ideas generate from his mind, magazines and photos. Watercolors, brushes, pens to accent, and a desk are his only tools.

setting for artists. Peat (slabs of dried marshland) provides heat for the distillery process.

Northwest of Inverness, Scotland, on the banks of Loch Torridon, lies the quaint village of Inveraligin. The Torridon Mountains, in the background, appear to be covered by snow yet they are really white marble. Further west is the Island of Skye.

Blair Castle in Perthshire, on the east coast of Scotland, has two claims to fame. The Duke of Athol's home is the only castle occupied full time. He also has his own small private army. This is traditional, dating back to medieval days when Aristocracy raised their own armies.
