 Kate Bush Biography

Kate Bush - Biography (aka Princess of Suburbia)

Fred & Judy Vermorel.

A floppy soft cover book, that I heard Kate was very annoyed about. It includes some school photos and poems of a young Ms Catherine Bush.

Like the very disappointing "Secret History" book, Fred seems to have just dug up as much stuff as he could on Kate from any source, and not to bothered which source. I found this a 'book to have' but sadly for wrong reasons, I think it'sThe Sun reader in me.

32 pages long, all black and white pictures. Delves into parts of Kate's past that might have been better left well alone.

Lionheart songbook

Lionheart Songbook

EMI Publishing.

Well, this is actually one of those buys, when you have trawled every record store, big and small, looking for Kate items, and anything with Kate on the cover will do to satisfy the craving.

I was quite annoyed when I bought this, as it was the first time I had came in contact with a simple music book. It was wrapped in cellophane, and I genuinely believed I was getting a book about the 'Making of Lionheart'.

It's the lyrics to the complete "Lionheart" album plus the music for all the songs, I guess I bought it for it's lovely cover and pictures inside. 52 pages.

The Secret History

The Secret History of Kate Bush (& the strange art of pop)

Fred Vermorel. Omnibus Press

I was so let down by this book, I felt I would get a really good insight to Kate and her path to top Female Artist. But this turned out to be more a "Family Tree" in book form. 96 pages with very few colour pictures.

It is a very detailed book, and maybe it's because I don't really want to know about great great granddad (who was an Anglo-Saxon forrest dweller) that I suppose it's one for the collector to buy and stick on their bookshelf, but never read twice, they way I did.

Rock comic

Rock 'N' Roll Comic

Story - Jay Allen Sanford
Art - Marshall Ross.

An American comic depicting the life of "Rock 'N' Roll stars. Must have been running out on who to do, as I don't think Kate is mainstream in the US

Printed by Revolutionary Comics as they say "Unauthorised and proud of it", it's Kate's life from her demo making phase to the release of "The Sensual World". 31 pages of glorious drawings of Kate which will have the tears of laughter running down your face. I think it's a fantastic glamorised version of her career as only the Americans can do it.

One gem is about Kate working with the Trio Bulgarka and they start to sing, and the next drawing, and I kid you not, is of Kate falling backwards in her chair and hitting the floor, with the words 'and Kate is utterly floored'. Yes it is that good! Recommended..
