SEVEN LITTLE SISTERS

After suffering a major blow with the theft of all their equipment, Seven Little Sisters are back with a new line-up and a new album.

Original members Nik Acons (Vocals, violin, mandolin and guitars) and John Leonard (Accordion, guitars, mandolin, banjo, uilleann pipes, whistles and backing vocals), have been joined by Richard Spiby (Guitars, harmonica and backing vocals), Paul ‘Robbo’ Robinson (Piano, hammond organ, backing vocals), Mitch Oldham (Drums, percussion) and Ed Acons (Bass and cello).

The band were performing live again by September 1997, which followed six months rehearsals and demoing of new material.

With thirty gigs played by the end of 1997, Seven Little Sisters had well and truly re-established themselves as one of the most sort after bands around.

1998 brings on the release of the new album ‘Girl’ which is destined to outsell their last album (Cow Trousers) which sold over 5,000 copies.

With tours already booked in the UK, Europe and the USA, and a busy festival season throughout the summer, 1998 looks set to be a very hectic year.

As BBC Radio described their first London show : -

”........ ruthlessly energetic folk-punk, that you couldn’t help dance to.”
