The Tofu Love Frogs new CD 'Vegetable Attack' was released at Glastonbury festival last year. The album opens with a folk rendition of Mozart's 'Eine Kline Nacht Musik' guesting Pat and Des from the 'Tragic Roundabout' (long term touring/drinking associates).
The song, 'Get Tough' tells the tale of Simon Sunderland, the graffiti artist from Sheffield who received a five year prison sentence for practising his art. The song also features a traditional Norwegian tune played to 'skiffle, ska and imbued with a liberal dash of scrumpy.' (Melody Maker 22/05/93)

The title track 'Vegetable Attack!' then kicks in with the speed and power that makes the 'Tofu's' one of the most exiting live acts in Europe. It tells the bizarre but true tale of a turnip murder in the singers native E11 area in 1989. The album then progresses with shit kicking fiddle, a touch of Celtic dub, and tales of car crashes, drug deaths and ready, steady police crime chase shows.

Other Tracks include 'Prime Time' - a comment on the real meaning of TV Cop Action programmes, 'Boys in Blue', a song about those wonderful people who tell us the time and help us across the road, and 'Wreck of the New '97' - a song about road madness.

The last track is a techno remix from the Mangagora Digital Music Army of 'Sorted', the tale of Leah Betts, a call to reform drug laws featuring samples from Howard Marx - the man the DEA once described as the worlds biggest pot dealer.

Last year saw the Tofu's gigging across Britain, Germany, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Poland. All familiar places to the Tofu's who have delighted countless thousands from war torn Crotia to the green fields of Glastonbury. This Autumn sees the Tofu's breaking new ground with the possibility of tours in the Ukraine and Australia, so '98 looks like a busy and exciting time for the 'Frogs.

Enquiries to, P-Rox Records regarding any business, but right now have a listen and see if the 'Frogs have you believing they are long lost friends' (Melody Maker 21/05/94).
