Welcome to the Update page for the HILES One-Name Study web page

The surname HILES is unusual and the study is interested in discovering more about its distribution and the ways in which family groups interlink with a line of descent which is already traced back to the sixteenth century to Somerset and the eighteenth century back to Shropshire and Lincolnshire.
