Sam / Gary Gilmore And The Island Of Dr Moreau 7`
(Kapitalist Records, RM-6122) 1977. Self Released with
only 100 copies in the classic PS. "The Island Of
Dr.Moreau" is the remake of the HG Well's 1933
Classic "Island Of Lost Souls" with Burt
Lancaster as Dr.Moreau. Not sure what the connection to
Gary Gilmore is though as i havent seen either film!
Gary Gilmore had killed 2 people in Utah a year earlier
and was famous for demanding to be shot by firing squad
in 1977. The "Son Of Sam" was the black dog
owned by Sam Carr, neighbour of NY serial killer David
Berkowitz. |
