Ghats, on the banks of the Holy Ganges

The highpoint in Varanasi for me was the boat trip down the Ganges before dawn, and seeing the City come to life, Hindus performing their daily worship and rituals, on the ghats on the banks of the river. The low point was being very ill for a day or two with food poisoning !
