FOOTWELL MODIFICATION CLICK PHOTOS TO ENLARGE

The passenger footwell needs to be slightly modified to improve the clearance around the bellhousing. The photo shows the piece of ali cut which has been cut to form the piece which will close the hole in the footwell.

The piece of ali with the tabs folded and with a coat of aluminium primer. This was later sprayed with Hammerite but it didn`t dry by the time we were ready to install the engine so we have cleaned it all back to the bare ali again. It`s virtually invisible once the engine is installed so not really a big deal.

The passeneger footwell marked for cutting. The chamfered corners were not marked in this photograph.

A photo showing why the footwell modification is required. Because we are using the Raceline bellhousing which allows the engine to sit much further back the starter motor is right up against the passenger footwell. With the modification there is just enough clearance.
