With the bottom end finished we move on to the head. First of all the head gasket is placed over the dowels.  
     
Tim and jj inspect the head and tappets, ensuring they are clean and have enough lubrication.  
     
Here we see Tim getting a little ahead of himself.........too much time spent working with k`s. Once the cams are installed it is not possible to insert the head bolts......doh!  
     
And now the correct method..........the head is fitted to the block, we have used new std Ford head bolts. The cams have been refitted and the cam bearing caps torqued up. The sprockets have been fitted loosely at this stage and we are beginning to refit the timing chain and tensioners.  
     
With the cams timed, the timing chain, pulley, front sprocket and tensioners all fitted the modified timing chain cover has been replaced and the cam cover refitted.
