Challenge

This challenge is to ascend the highest peak in each of the countries in mainland Britain within a period of 24 hours. The peaks are: Ben Nevis - 1343m Sca Fell Pike - 978m Snowdon - 1085m Click here for full image Click here for full image Click here for full image The approximate distance walked is 26 miles.   Starting at the foot of Ben Nevis at approximately 3:00pm on the Saturday and finish at the peak of Snowdon in Wales before 3:00pm on Sunday. The group expect to be off Ben Nevis about 10:00pm on Saturday to drive to Sca Fell Pike and begin the ascent there at 3:00am on Sunday morning. By 7:30 we should have completed the ascent and returned to the transport to drive to Snowdon. Beginning the ascent there anywhere between 11:30am and noon should see the group complete the task within the time frame .
