Welcome to my home page!
This page provides pointers into some of my interests. There are always pages under development so please be patient if you find that your particular interest is not yet here.
Bollington, Cheshire - the Happy Valley
My home town is known as the Happy Valley! These pages, while under continuous development, describe many of the interesting features of the town. |
|
| Bollington Pubs | These pages describe each of the pubs (plus a couple just out of town, 2 hotels and several restaurants) in this small Cheshire town. A map is provided to help you find those of your choice. |
We have a thriving Civic Society which is going from strength to strength. Why not come to one of our meetings - details on the page. |
|
Newly developed in 2005, the Discovery Centre is the place to find the history of Bollington and view the more than 5,000 digital historic pictures on our PCs. |
|
How can we reduce our consumption of fosil-fuelled energy? How can we generate electricity from natural resources? |
|
This major project has developed a Parish Plan for the village in 2004 - our view of the future! Much has been implemented and we are now reviewing it in 2007/08. |
|

Adkins Family

These pages are in continuous development and designed to bring together on the web the enormous amount of research work carried out by my late aunt, Evelyn Goodman nee Adkins.
Canals
The Macclesfield Canal |
I have a special interest in the Macclesfield Canal. Extensive information is provided. |
Three maps of the canal together with a huge amount of information which will be of particular value to the boater. This is the master map for the canal society leaflet available from the boxes at Bosley sanitary station and Hall Green stop lock. The Internet maps are more up to date than the printed version. |
|
This charitable enterprise provides canal trips for the disadvantaged. |
|
George's pages - the definitive index to the world of UK and international waterway information with pointers to individual waterways, organisations, boats, etc., etc. A link to every known waterway web page. If you can't find it here it hasn't been written yet! |
