Firecracker XII

The twelfth running of the the Firecraker again produced a massive selection of material (especially as Volvos were banned this year along with Jap machinery and standard Mk1 and Mk2 Granadas). Despite the appalling weather first thing some 183 cars arrived in the pits of which some 80 were Jaguars in one form or another. There were six awards for the best material  as below, the other 170 odd cars can be found in the 2003 photo galleries.

Peter Singleton (661) presented another stunning car with this Austin A125 Sherline Limo.
Darren Nash (203) had a Buick Roadmaster from the fifties.
Clyde Williams (136) won an award for his early Cadillac Fleetwood Limo which unfortunately did not race.
Paul Bowen (657) raced a Austin FX4 Taxi hearse.
An award for smartest car went to Aaron Keoghan (965) for his Rover P5B Coupe.
From the continent Giovanni Muyllaert (666) had a beautifully presented Series 1 Jaguar XJ6.
