BBA Alternate World - Action/Wrecks
50 cars in attendance of which 23 were seeded throught to the final with another eight places been earnt via two last chance qualifiers. Material of note was supplied by Alan 'Speedy' Reed (88 - Mk2 Hearse), Ian 'Tiggy' Meaker (266 - Mk1 Coupe), Paul May (778 - Mk1) and Kev Hardie (Mk1 Limo). The last chance qualifiers were won by Danny Smithson (311) and Scott Mowlam. The final went to Shane Brown (120) for a 3rd year in a row from Bryan Webb (283) and Danny Smithson (311). The allcomers race was won by Phil Powell (199), Shane Davies (158) took the speed race and Phil Cleverley (402) the DD.
Race 1 and Bryan Webb (283) is the first to test the pit bend wall.
519 found a marker tyre and flipped on to the start/finish line.
John 'Basher' Broad (57) spins Simon Whant (551) out of 3rd place.
Race 2 and Kev Hardie (536) slams John Hartland (851) into Tiggy's Coupe (266)
Ian 'Ringo' Starr (6) is pinned against the wall by the jacking train...
.. leaving his Volvo in a very sorry state!
Tiggy's Mk1 Coupe was also in a sorry state..
.. though pit work put it back in some sort of shape.
Into the Final and Shane Davies (158) came to regret this attack on Richard 'Grumpy' Regan (428).
Paul May (778) buries John Broad (57) into the pit bend wall.
Shaun Barnes (85), Gary Lee (NI22) and Danny Hunt (382) all died on the pit bend.
Shane Brown (120) wends his way through the chaos to his 3rd successive Title win.
'Grumpy' (428) reaps revenge on Billy King (49)...
..but finally came to rest on the home straight.
Steve 'Noon' Farrell (200) took some heavy damage.
Ruben Simmons (274) with yet another destroyed Volvo.
He may have been towed away, but 'Grumpy' (428) was back for the next race

Shane Davies (158) took the win in the speed race...
..then started the DD by blasting 'Grumpy' (428)
Phil Cleverley (402) and Phil Powell (199) go head-to-head in the DD
which left the Powell Mk2 in a bad way.
Cleverley (402) won the DD in this Capri!
Buddy James (262) came out to play in the DD
Grumpy (428) finally came to rest in Danny Hunt's car, though he wasn't responsible for all the damage
