Icebreaker VIII

Sunday 4th February 2001 saw the premier team meeting of the year held at Swaffham Raceway in Norfolk. 27 teams of up to six cars each competed for the coveted Team Prize which was eventually won by Team Blitz.This resulted in a total of 120 plus cars. As befits a major meeting the material on display was of the highest class, including numerious Jags, Crowns, and a smattering of Limos and Yank machinery. Prizes were awarded for the smartest teams, details of which can be seen below.

TEAM BLITZ
won the team event leading from Heat 1 when they recorded a 1st and 2nd place. The team comprised of Gary Madgwick (33), Dave Barwick (91), Shane Brown (120), Chris Reed (332), Danny Hunt (382) and Martin Brunson (537).

Darryll Whally Cliff Bromley BLOOZ BOYS
won the the Best Presented Team Prize for their extremley smart sextet of Jags. The team was Carlos Perez (05), Steve Farrell (200), Darryll Whally (201), Cliff Bromley (202), Terry Pinches (206) and John Wyatt (263).

HITMEN CROWN JEWELS
were awarded 2nd best prepared team award for their collection of Toyota Crowns. Their team was Kevin Camden (60), Darren Austen (77), Bryan Webb (283), Tom Reynolds (316), Nick Souter (345), and Richard Regan (428).
