Welcome to the Primary Teacher's Toolbox, the site where you will find more useful links than you can shake a stick at. You'll also discover a great many child-safe websites suitable for use with Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children whatever the subject or topic you are covering. Why not try my "cyberhunts" to get children using the Net? Or use my interactive quizzes? Or browse the topic information I have put together? Teachers and trainees will find helpful documents containing tips about using ICT as well as many computer files and worksheets to download that may prove useful, particularly when using ICT in lessons. If you find a broken link please inform the webmaster.

These links are for teachers and trainees looking for advice, ideas, information and downloadable teaching resources. Many of these sites may also have content suitable for use by primary school children.

"Cyberhunt" is the name I gave to a form of Internet enquiry sometimes called a "Net Trail" or "Web Quest". Basically, a question is set and beneath it is a link to an engaging website where children will find the answer to that question. It is an excellent way for children to use the Internet to find information, often in an entertaining way.

In the past I have been a part-time consultant for Becta helping to coordinate the New2Computers forum which was part of their ICT Advice service. In that role I had to write and deliver a daily nugget of wisdom ("Tip of the Day") for the subscribers. I have produced over a thousand of these and I reproduce them here as rich text files under various headings.

Over the years I have compiled a lot of ICT-related resources on popular Key Stage 2 topics. If you have Microsoft Office software installed they may well be useful to you. Note that the files are "zipped" and that you will need archiving software to "unzip" the files.
