The heat, the quick lawns, tight hoops and lavish meals induced lethargy, compelling time limits to be imposed. Several attempted TPs came to grief. Many games ended in 3-ball finishes. The highlight was David Foulser's 8 turns 26tp victory over Dave Nick in 45 minutes. The knockout event concluded at 8.55 PM. Jenny was awarded the David Openshaw Trophy in a near-empty arena.
