Playing against the strong wind Tows took their time to get into the game conceding two penalties converted by Pat Phillips, before getting a converted try when prop Jim Wallis was driven over just before half time.
Five minutes into the second half the B.B full back Mark Underwood suffered a bad injury which seemed to affect the young B.B side allowing Tows to take control with tries from Captain Dave Wilson, Steve Martin, Matt Bodily, and Mark Page, all converted by Gag Evans to set up a final against old rivals Men's Own.

After conceding an early penalty converted by the Kibworth fly half, Tows came back with a try from Peter Wallis, but Kibworth came back with a second penalty, to lead 6-5 at half time. Soon after the restart center matt bodily burst through to score under the post, Evan's adding the points for a 12-6 lead, only for Kibworth to regain the lead with a converted try from prop Smeath. With the game getting a little niggly second row Dan Banks found himself sin binned along with along with his opposite number. But with scrum half Nicholls leading with sniping runs replacement Matt Snook crossed for the winning score leaving the battered Tows to prepare for their Lewis shield final against Men's Own.
