Brookes decides not to proceed with INTO

The Univeristy would like to update all staff on the situation regarding ICELS and INTO.  Following our discussions with INTO, the University has decided not to proceed with the proposed joint venture for the provision of on-campus pre-university language programmes for international students.

INTO put forward a strong business case, but given Brookes' ambitious plans to redevelop our campuses, we felt unable to commit to a scheme which would require new accommodation and academic facilities for up to 700 students.

The University remains committed to the long-term provision of excellent language programmes for international students and we are discussing with staff other options to ensure these programmes continue to thrive.
