This year's Tankerton Christmas Market will be held on Sunday 7th December. Marquees of stalls, 100 feet of outside stalls and the shopkeepers of Tankerton will all be attempting to meet all your Christmas shopping needs.
In addition to the shopping there will be a small fairground with children's rides, catering, and other attractions.

If you are visiting the market by road, the event is on the B2205 through Tankerton, between the roundabout at St Anne's Rd and the junction with Graystone Rd. Unrestricted parking is available on the seafront whilst there is a long stay car park (50p for the day) a short walk away from the site.

Whitstable Umbrella Fun Day Sunday 15th June 2008
This annual event is held on Tankerton Slopes to raise funds for the Whitstable Umbrella Community Centre. Participants range from local charities to trade stalls with a fair ground providing entertainment for the children. This year's event will be opened by Miss Whitstable with her Carnival Court and Captain Sam the Whitstable Giant. During the day there will be music from Crooked Style, Whitstable's Youth Orchestras TWO and WOW, and the Whitstable Active Retirement Association Singers. There will be a flypast of a Hurricance, Spitfire and Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. A list of who is taking part is here.
