PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
Due to an increasing number of insurance claims, many venues are now insisting
that all participants in events are covered by adequate public liability
insurance (and employers liability, which is required by law).
Whitstable Festivals and Events Limited has adequate public liability insurance
to organise events and cover those people helping the organisation.
All stallholders are asked to produce proof of their public liability insurance (a photocopy is acceptable). This proof can be a letter from your insurance broker saying how much your cover is for and when it expires.
If you do not have insurance cover, you can approach one of the following:-

employers). I believe they have a section for people taking part in fairs & fetes
2. G.M.IMBER LTD INSURANCE BROKERS, GRANGE HOUSE, GRANGE WALK, LONDON, SE1 3DT. 02072315005. Was £50
for a year's cover - (£5M public liability and £10M employers). They also have a section for craft workers called "craft-insure".
3. COMBINED MARKET TRADERS INSURANCE ASSOCIATION, 9 ST. EDMUNDS ROAD, GANTS HILL, ILFORD, ESSEX, IG1 3QL. 020 8554 5273. or 12 Warren Court, Manor Road, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 5EW. 020 8500 8489. Had Public and Product liability cover for £44. Seems to lack employers liability cover.
