LETTER TO THE ESTATE AGENT MAGAZINE
PUBLISHED OCTOBER 2006

Dear Editor,

My fellow estate agents (very Presidential), we all know this ‘reduced HIP’ is just as bad as the old one and we need to continue to fight to stop it.

The Government is committed to compare the results of their HIP ‘dry runs’ (if there are any) with a BASELINE STUDY that they commissioned to be carried out by MORI and the Building Research Establishment.  The ODPM invited 3000 estate agents to send in completed questionnaires about each sale that completed or was withdrawn between 15th May and 9th June this year.  I have tried every ruse I know to find out how this study progressed, but every party to it in government has refused to say a word to me.  I now suspect that it MAY NOT EVEN HAVE HAPPENED.

If you were on of the 3000 agents invited to participate, can you please let me know how it went for you – or am I right and they secretly shelved it, but won’t admit it?

I’m on 01753 885522 or email me at baselinecoverup@trevorkent.com, finally you can write to me at Kent House, Gerrards Cross SL9 7DP.  Whichever way you do it, PLEASE let me know what, if anything, went on with the Baseline Study ASAP.
