2/5/00: Ryman League Division Three
Dorking 5 Tring Town 0
A depleted Tring side fell to their heaviest defeat of the season last night. An injury suffered by Antony Beamish in a Sunday match meant that only Neal Bartlett of the regular back four was present, and it showed as Tring went a goal down to Dorking's first attack of the game on 9 minutes. The ball was pulled back for Stephen Gillett, whose shot went into the net via Alistair Joslin's hand and the post.
Tring should have equalised two minutes later when a shot from Tony Oliver was parried by the Dorking keeper, but nobody could force the loose ball over the line. Instead they were two down on 13 minutes when a long range shot from Adrian Moses made it two goals from two attacks for Dorking. The third goal arrived on 30 minutes when a corner was headed down for Moses, who turned and shot home from the six-yard line.
Tring seemed to have steadied the ship in the second half, but Dorking added two further goals in injury time. Moses completed his hat-trick with a shot that went in via a deflection, and Stuart White broke away to score the fifth soon after.
