9/10/01: Ryman League Division Three
Tring Town 0 Flackwell Heath 0
Tring have not conceded a goal in their last 318 minutes of football, yet this was still a disappointing result against a Flackwell Heath side that is bottom of the league and still without a win in Division Three this season.
In a generally poor game, it was Flackwell who had the better chances in the first half, and they should probably have been two goals up before Tring missed their best chance in the last minute of the half. Scott Walters crossed to the far post where Mark Underwood had the goal at his mercy but headed across the face of goal. Just before the break Simon Bartley saved a shot from Flackwell's Jean Pierre Jamil with his legs, and Lee Johnson had to complete the clearance by heading off the line.
The second half had even less in the way of goalmouth action than the first. Midway through the half Scott Walters and Steve Boad both headed just over the bar from corners in quick succession, and Dave Butler headed wide from a good chance in the final minutes as the match petered out to a tame conclusion.
