Left: A typical stage. Starting position is with hands in the “surrender” position. On the start signal, draw pistol and fire one round at each of the 5 plates, engaging the yellow one (which stops the timer) last. Your time is your score (time penalties for misses). |
|
Left: Shooting distances vary with the stage layout. The final (yellow) plate on this one is a long shot. My hearing isn’t brilliant, so I’m sometimes not sure if I’ve heard the “clang” of a hit on the stop plate. Answer? - I make certain, by using every round left in the mag! |

Right: Score recording. You have five attempts at each stage. The slowest time is dropped - the four fastest times, added together, are your score for that stage. Some of the tyros can shoot a stage like this in under four seconds!. |
