TSPA Insurance

Unfortunately its a fact of life that accidents do happen. The TSPA renews its insurance every year with the NCPTA - National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations. The NCPTA is itself a Registered Charity - No. 1072833.

The TSPA pay over £100 a year for this insurance and for that we get the following level of cover:-

• Personal Accident cover for both parents and children helping at events
• Cash in Transit cover up to £2,500
• All Risk cover up to £1,000
• Public Liability - indemnity up to £5,000,000

The NCPTA offer more than just insurance though.

The National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations (NCPTA)

• is the largest organisation of parent teacher associations in England and Wales
• represents over 6 million parents and teachers through more than eleven thousand member associations
• is funded by membership subscriptions
• is non-sectarian and non-party political
• is a company limited by guarantee, a registered charity and governed by a Board of Trustees, some of which are elected by member PTAs

NCPTA:

• promotes partnerships between
    - home and school
    - pupils, parents and teachers
    - parents, local education authorities and other interested organisations
• encourages parents to give help and support to their children
• cares about all children regardless of age or ability
• ensures that parents have a say in national policy making
