Approximately 50,000 Art / Artist postcards, museum cards, gallery cards -
separated into approximately 5,000 different artists, A-Z by surname.
Included among these are sculptors, architects and photographers.

Condition is generally good to VG, mostly unused, many mint.
Cards published from the early 1900s until fairly recently.
Many are out of print.

Printed, Photogravure, Real Photographic and Chromolithograph.
Well known artists are well represented whilst obscure artists may only have one or two examples.
Mixture of postcards, museum cards and gallery cards.  A few examples below.
NB - Not all Gallery & Museum cards have postcard backs

These prices are for cards in VG condition, cards may be postally used
or have writing on back (most haven't), no creases, minimal corner wear.

I accept PayPal, UK cheques, cash (GBP or euros), mint GB stamps.
All cards will be safely packed.
P&P (shipping) depends on the number of cards you buy & where you live,
e.g. P&P for 1-5 cards within UK is 72p, 6-14 cards is 94p.

DUNCAN, John McKirdy, RSA (1866-1945)

  National Gallery of Scotland:  "According to the legend of the Irish Saint Bride she was transported miraculously to Bethlehem to attend the nativity of Christ. Here two angels carry the white robed saint across the sea. The seascape reflects Duncan's fascination with the Outer Hebrides and the Isle of Iona. The birds and seal provide an effective naturalistic foil for the supernatural angels overlapping the patterned border. Scenes from the life of Christ decorate the angel's robes, and may include the artist's self-portrait as the tiny clown (a holy fool) accompanying the procession of the magi on the leading angel's gown."

I enjoyed the challenge of using only Titanium White and Lamp Black, but will be glad to get back to using more colours!
"Soldiers of an Australian 4th Division field artillery brigade on a duckboard track passing through Chateau Wood, near Hooge in the Ypres salient, 29 October 1917. The leading soldier is Gunner James Fulton and the second soldier is Lieutenant Anthony Devine. The men belong to a battery of the 10th Field Artillery Brigade."
The Battle of Passchendaele (Third Battle of Ypres) was a campaign of the First World War, taking place between July and November 1917. Some estimates put the total casualties for both sides at about half a million killed.
