Firstly and most importantly do not get ripped off!
There are a lot of people out there that want to take your talent - earn for themselves and give you as little as possible. If you see yourself on the catwalk or fronting Elle magazine then you have come to the wrong place.
I have been a photographer for many years and have got many girls started on the glamour modeling front. It can be quite lucrative and certainly an interesting life. Five girls that started with me have moved on into catalogue work, two others have traveled half the world in calendar and advertising, and three now earn a very good living from men's magazines. It's up to you.
There are no real requirements except, you should be pretty, if you're serious then no bigger than size 14, but height doesn't matter, scale is more important. Are you in proportion? Obviously a good bust is an advantage, but not the be all and end all.
So how to begin.
Firstly you could contact me at my email address below and I will be happy to show you some direction. I have contacts all over the country and we are always looking for new models. We make no charges from you, this I guarantee. You will get a set of pictures and probably more work, if you have what it takes.
You could read the amateur photographic magazines and find a studio near you that advertise for models, but do not pay them anything up front.
If you want an honest opinion send me a head and full-length shot, holiday snaps are fine.
If you know of a photographer who is willing to take your picture then ask to see his portfolio, as I do not want you put off just because he takes crap pictures. Here is an example of what I mean. Both these girls are equally pretty and wearing very similar costumes, but look how different the pictures are. Girl 1 paid a photographer for this. As a photographer I can see the wonderful potential she has and know I could have made her look as good as girl two. Girl two's original snap, taken and sent in by her mum was as good. It let me see her potential and shows what can be done. |
