Sharron was just 13 when she represented GB at the Montreal Olympics.

At the 1980 Olympics, she took silver in the 400m individual medley behind the cheating East Germany's Petra Schneider.

By the time she finally retired for good in 1994, she had been a British champion on 20 occasions and broken more than 200 British records.

She appeared in Gladiators as Amazon but had to quit after two years with a knee injury.

Sharron likes a Margarita.
